We often get asked if it is worth travelling to Spain in November. The answer is – YES; Absolutely – and here are 5 reasons why:
- TEMPERATURE. November is still a warm and sunny month. Average temperature by the coast during the day is 20 degrees while in the night it gets down to some 12 degrees. It rarely rains and sun sets around 18 pm. These are perfect temperatures for visiting the big cities, old towns and monuments as well as enjoying a lunch by the beach. If you are still looking for hot summer days, the Canary Island will deliver sun & beach with over 25 degrees warmth.
- PRICES. Since November is the beginning of low season for Spain, hotel prices are much more affordable to everyone, as well as great deals on food and activities.
- SPORTS. Lower temperatures come together with beginning of “active holidays and events” in Spain. Races, marathons, Camino de Santiago, La Liga and so many other sports activities are on, in the colder months. You can come to participate in one of them or simply enjoy and cheer for your friends, it is definitely worth living the atmosphere!
- SHOPPPING. Let’s not forget the huge variety of Spanish shopping offers. From most known exclusive clothing brands, throughout sports shops and souvenirs, as well as gourmet boutiques. Spain is a perfect place to get an early start on your Christmas Shopping.
- LOCAL LIFE. Summer in Spain is amazing, as well as intense. With music festivals, long days, beach bars and cold Sangria – summers are always on 120%, both for visitors as for the locals. But in November the places calm down a little bit and one can enjoy a true, every days life of Spaniards. Morning coffee in the bar, lunch in the sun, and evening walk through (not so crowded) city streets. Don’t get us wrong, the party is still here, but at this time of the year you can live the destination as if it is your home!
Hope we have convinced you 😉
