Barcelona

Who can be a better embassador for a city, than the people that actually lives there, and that’s precisely our case with Barcelona. Of all the places we could have settled, it’s not hard to justify why we chose Barcelona, even if the reasons were different. And there’s something for everyone; the foodie, the sunseeker, the art lover, the dancefreak, the shopaholic, the hooligan…need we say more!

Freddie Mercury knew what he was talking about when he sang; “Barcelona – like a jewel in the sun”. There’s just no better way to describe the city. Even if you know that the beaches are originally artificial and that “la Sagrada Familia” has taken longer to build than the Great Pyramids, there are still a lot of stories to be told about this city.

Penny for Ania’s thoughts on the city:
Impossible doesn’t exist here!!! Whatever you want to do, dream about doing, or not knowing yet that you want to do, you can find in Barcelona. Do you like to sail – here you go, we have kilometers of coast! Do you like cars – how about a trip to Formula 1 or Rally Salou? You love good food – restaurants like ABaC or Tickets are right in the center. History, museums, concerts… everything is here! I don’t think I have to even mention the possibilities for shopping or partying, do I? When it comes to groups, what I love about Barcelona is the flexibility of our providers, endless possibilities for new, exciting activities and restaurants and that everyone can find their favorite thing to do in free time. Ah! And of course, don’t forget all those direct flights, just under 4 hours!
Penny for Elin’s thoughts on the city:
After having lived in Barcelona for over 20 years, I always try to convince people to stay in the upper part of the city and skip the crowds of las Ramblas and Plaza Catalunya. The few that listen are ever grateful, as they discover the majestic avenues, great shopping and the green parks of the Upper side. You can find great hotels and restaurants in this area as well and you’ll be a lot closer to Camp Nou, if you fancy seeing Messi tribble his way through the opponents. Despite my efforts, I do understand those who prefer being close to everything in the center, I do it myself, when I visit other cities:) You do get the essence of Barcelona with the cathedral, las plazas and the port, and that’s what’s great about this city, you actually get to choose.
